Why dance?

Dance can change your life. If you want to get more fun and enjoyment out of life; dance can assist with increasing self-confidence, meeting people and making new friends. Dance is a great form of exercise. You will feel the tensions of the day melt away. You will be more at ease and will find that the camaraderie of other ADI students lifts your spirits. No matter what dance level you aspire to, Alliance Dance Institute can provide the instruction and practice you seek. We know you will enjoy dancing with us.

What if I can’t dance?

No such thing! Many of our students are surprised when we tell them that as long as they can put one foot in front of the other, they are capable of dancing. For classes, parties, and dancing in general -- having a good time is up to you! Get out on the floor and enjoy the dancing!

When can I start?

We recommend starting group classes at the beginning of any given month. All of our Monday-Thursday group classes are series classes, which start at the beginning of the month and run for four to eight weeks, depending on the class. Our Friday and Saturday group classes are drop-in, so feel free to drop by any Friday or Saturday of the month.

What should I wear?

Put simply, you should wear clothes in which you feel comfortable moving. For footwear, we highly recommend leather-bottomed shoes. Combat boots, football cleats, and high heels with nails showing through the bottom are not recommended! If you are interested in purchasing dance shoes, we can make recommendations.

Do I need a partner?

No! A partner is never necessary at Alliance Dance Institute. Our instructors are careful to rotate leaders and followers in their classes, since it is important to learn with different partners. A variety of partners will improve your lead/follow skills and social dancing prowess.
